Frequently asked questions

What makes Retinal different from Retinol?

Retinal (Retinaldehyde) is a more potent form of Vitamin A; it requires only one conversion step to become active in the skin, making it up to 11 times faster than traditional Retinol at targeting wrinkles.

How should I introduce this to my routine?

We recommend the "ladder approach": use it twice a week for the first two weeks, then every other night, gradually increasing to nightly use as your skin builds tolerance.

Can I use this around my eyes?

Yes, our formula includes Panthenol and Matrixyl® 3000 to soothe and hydrate, but we suggest applying a very small amount and avoiding the immediate lash line.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?

While our 0.1% Retinal is designed to be gentle, we always recommend a patch test behind the ear before full facial application.

Should I use it in the morning or evening?

Retinal should only be used in your evening routine, as Vitamin A can make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Always apply a high-SPF sunscreen the following morning.
